Kim S Miller LCSWA Owner and Therapist, Cedar Creek Counseling PLLC

Meet Kim

Your journey companion

My name is Kim Miller and I am a licensed clinical social worker associate. I have been working with women and children for over 20 years.

I grew up in California, spent many years in Colorado, and have made North Carolina home. I am the mother of 8 children (4 adopted from Ukraine) and have been married over 30 years. Throughout my journey I have met many people from different cultures and backgrounds and because of this I have come to embrace the individual stories and experiences that make us all unique.

I am passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment for my clients, a place where they feel understood and accepted.  I look forward to meeting you and would be honored to be part of your journey.

Why Therapy?

Everyone has an individual story with experiences that make them unique. There is not one answer that fits all. Many times in life we get stuck and are not sure where to turn. We misplace hope, and life gets out of focus.

In these times we need support and encouragement to help us realign our lives and discover what we desperately need to find fulfillment and success.

A Collaborative Experience

I believe that the counseling journey is one in which both the counselor and the client work together to discover a better sense of self in relationship with others, while growing a more intimate connection with God. Hope is found in true healing and wholeness.

I specialize in women and children, domestic violence, family trauma, grief and attachment and adoption issues.

A Faith-based Approach

I believe that the Bible was written as a love story not a sledgehammer. I have many years of experience providing counsel and support for people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. I respect cultural and individual differences. I realize that each person has a set of unique values and perceptions due to their own personal spiritual journey. My role as a therapist is to provide non- judgmental guidance while examining the whole person, connecting spirit, mind and body.
